Treatment For Pain In Hip To Ankle Due To Degenerative Disc Disease?

I previously had a lumbar laminectomy in 1990 @ L5 & S1. I also was diagnosed at that time with degenerative disc disease. In 2011 my area had a tornado and I subsequently had MRI from head to toe. Now I have a disc out in my neck and learned my previous surgey dislodged my surgery. I have no insurance nor the thousands they want up front to treat me. My question is. I have been experiencing agonizing pain from my left hip to my left ankle. Left foot edematous when on my feet too long. Im a nurse and always on my feet. Could this agonizing pain be from my dislodged back surgery? Ive been to the ER numerous times and they treat me as a drug seeker, which I treat drug seekers so I know I am NOT one. Im desperate for some relief and do not know where to turn too. Im guessing its sciatica. I have signed up for insurance through my employer. Because of pre-exsisting conditions my BCBS of AL will not go into effect until July 2014. I cant endure this until July. Ive never been a drinker but Ive turned to alcohol to ease the pain, after work. My neurologist said there wasn t anything they could do for my back, but if I give him $10,000.00 up front & IN CASH ( very ODD to want cash) he would operate on my neck in same day surgery. This was in 2011. Ive since given myself massive doses of Ibuprofen and PT, which must have decreased selling at site of dislocated neck disc because I haven t had any temp paralyzis on right side, just numbness from time to time. He will not see me because I refuse to pay 250.00 a office visit, where he breezes in and is out within 5 minutes, will not listen to my complaints of my lower back which is far worse than my neck. Sorry so long. Sandra Fondren Tuscaloosa, AL ROLL TIDE ROLL :-0)
