Neurologist 's  Response
Hi,

Thank you for posting your query.

I have noted the details of your son and he is suffering from brain tuberculosis (tuberculoma of brain) causing seizures.

I would like to reassure you that it is fully treatable with medications. Tb medications should be given for at least one and half years. In addition, he should also receive anti-epileptic drugs to control the seizures.

Good drugs for seizure control are oxcarbazepine, lamotrigine and levetiracetam.

I hope my reply has helped you.

I would be pleased to answer, if you have any follow up queries or if you require any further information.

Best wishes,
