You have not mentioned your age, gender, latest
TSH report and the dose of
Synthroid being taken. I cannot comment in the absence of the said information. As such, the dose of Synthroid needs to adjusted so as to maintain TSH around 1.0
However, apart from underactive
thyroid, other causes of weight gain are undetected
diabetes, Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome(
PCOS) in females, some of the anti-depressant drugs and, genetic predisposition.
