Tried Clinique Anti-blemish For Acne. Applied Benzoyl Peroxide. How To Control?
I am 47 and seem to have developed worse acne in the past 6 months. I've tried the Clinique anti blemish solutions system, but whatever I do use and do not use, the problem remains. I've observed during the last two menstrual cycles that I get two big spots during ovulation (just after the cycle ends). These are mainly on my cheeks and take at least a week to heal, and then leave dark scars (I'm olive skinned). I had some on my forehead but the culprits are always on my cheeks. My dr prescribed benzoyl peroxide 2.5%. I feel very depressed when I het these breakouts and use Clinique oil free foundation to hide these blemishes. I don't have a lot of money to spend trying different meds and treatments. So what would be the best way to keep this problem under control? My menstrual cycles are VERY regular and precise. I do not suffer from excess body hair, etc.
Hi, youracne probably related to the harmones of the periods, probably due to the increase in oestrgen as it should be in the begening of the period. I advise you to avoid spices, junk foods, and oily foods, and ice creams. Have face wash frequently with plain water with out soap, and avoid moisturising soaps for taking bath. Thank you.
