Doctor, My wife's last period dates are as follows. 24-DEC-12 38 DAYS 31-JAN-13 33 DAYS 05-MAR-13 29 DAYS 03-APR-13 33 DAYS 06-MAY-13 38 DAYS 13-JUN-13 IN PROGRESS Is it normal cycle?The last six months we are trying for pregnancy.But it was not successful.I here with attached my Semen Analysis Report for your reference..As per the Report it is normal.Can we consult with a gynachonolgist for futher check ups? What are the Fertility check ups for women? Does irregular periods may affect pregnanacy?Kindly explain. Regards Justine George
Infertility requires that you have unportected sex 3 to 4 times a week in a steady sexual relationship for at least 1 year. This could be primary (if the lady has never conceived )or secondary if a past history of conception is known. These issues are key before moving on to any treatment options to be considered.
These considerations coupled with infectious disease screen, hormonal analysis, ultrasound, hysterosalpingography for tube permeability, spermogramme are all very necessary.
I strongly suggest he consults an infertility specialist, for there exist many effective novel methods to address this problem now.
