Hi,
The medication you have been prescribed is Norethisterone. It is perhaps given as a last measure in the hope that it would induce ovulation. Yet, this may not help. This is a progestogen used to treat menstrual disorders, for postponement of cycles, in the treatment of endometriosis, breast cancer and as part of contraception. If you are suffering from PCOD, you may benefit from the addition of Metformin for ovulation induction. Hope you have the information needed. Take care.
