Trying To Conceive, No Periods. Prescribed Fertab-50, Clomifene, Duphaston. Uses Of Medications?

I m 32 years old 9 years married but still no baby i start to consult to gynecology because of absences of menstruation and also i want to be pregnant to have baby soon. my gynecology doctor she told me to take fertab-50 clomifene tablets 50mg can u explain to me what is the use of this medicine? and also duphaston 10mg dydrogesterone film coated tablets?

Welcome to the forum. It is nice to know that you are planning for a baby. Duphaston ( 10 mg ) is a synthetic progesterone containing dydrogesterone. It is used to treat patients with hormonal imbalances, irregular menstrual history, infertility, fibroid, endometriosis, etc. It helps the hormone level get back to normal, helps to prepare the endometrium for pregnancy if conception occurs.

Fertab-50 is clomifene ciitrate is a non-steroidal ovulatory stimulant. It is given to women who are diagnosed with irregular ovulation or have unovulatory problems. It is given to patients being treated for infertility.

There can be many causes of ovulation problem, excessive dieting in the past, low generalhealth condition, patients suffering from PCOD, PID, thyroid dysfunctions, etc.

Since you have no periods you are suffering from secondary ammenorrhea. Get diagnosed for the cause of ammenorrhea and get treated. Treatment may take time. Once your normal menstrual cycle gets resumed, you may get pregnant. Consult your gynecologist and get investigations done. Get treated.
