Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a positive pregnancy test... I am under medication actually..I was prescribed letsi 2.5mg for ovulation starting from 2nd day of my period for 10 days. Then I was prescribed duphaston and susten 200 mg from 25th day of my cycle for 10 days. Usually I used to get my periods on the 37th day. This time I missed it and it is 43 days since I got my periods. Pregnancy test shows positive. What do I need to do?
Since your pregnancy test is positive,I would suggest you to visit your obstetrician for an ultrasound. Gestational sac in the uterus can be seen around 3 to 5 weeks of pregnancy. This should be confirmed after which whether Duphaston is required or not will be decided. Continue folic acid tablets.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Saranya Ramadoss, General & Family Physician
