Trying To Shed Fat Around Stomach, Chest. Doing Cardio, Resistance Exercises. Will Eltroxin Help?

Hi; I am 27 yr old male seeking to shed a little fat, I am regularly working out for the past 3 years but not able to reduce my extra fat around the belly and chest . My trainer asked me to take eltroxin 100mcg strictly only 1 tablet everyday, but I am afraid that this may cause serious problems. I would love to attain fitness level but I am not able to reach my goal for the past 3 year. I do regular cardio for almost 3 hours 3 times a week with resistance exercise with sets of 10 sets of 50 reps. Then I got to know this is stubborn fat that I am dealing with. I wish to know if this could help. I look forward to hearing from you. Thanks

Thanks for writing your query to us.
Since you are trying to shed fat & are not being able to lose that, hypothyroidism can be one of the cause.
You should investigate first the cause for your obesity ¬ start any medicines on advise of trainer.
Get your lipid profile, Thyroid function test & based on your report if there is need than after consulting doctor you start any medicines if required.
Dont be desperate in achieving anything beyond your control. Stress is one of the cause of obesity so be relaxed, happy about your body, set a reasonable weight goal for your body, continue your exercise, follow your diet plan. In short you should enjoy whatever form of exercise you are doing & not do it under any pressure.

hi,

do not take eltroxin ,it is thyroid hormone it will have side effects may cause hyperthyroidism in people with normal thyroid function,exercise contributes to only 30percent of weight lose,rest 70percent is by diet.
