Tumor Around Corpus Collasum, Migraines, Fibramyalgia. Treatment?
My daughter recently found out she has a tumor approx. 7mm by 3mm around the corpus collasum in her brain. They are telling her it is not affecting her in any way. She went to neurologist & they have to wait 3 months for a new CT scan to see if it grows or not. In the meantime she was referred to the Ryan Headache Center in St Louis, MO. They will not allow her to make an appointment with them because her doctor is not in their "Mercy" physician group. She has migraines & fibramyalgia recently both diagnosed. Afraid for her to just wait for too long of a period of time. Any suggestions? Should we be more aggressive? or is this standard of care for a brain tumor?

The only treatment for a brain tumor is operation, which is associated with significant morbidity. Therefore, the decision to do surgery depends on the size, location as well as the nature of the timor.
In your daughter's case, the size of tumor is very small, and is unlikely to produce any symptoms. The nature of tumor is not known, however is likely to be benign, rather than malignant. In a benign tumor, one can wait and watch for it to grow. If it does not grow, then, there is no need to do surgery. However, if a benign tumor begins to grow, then, it has to be removed.
Lastly, the location of tumor is also important. Certain parts of brain subserve important functions, and in those areas, if a tumor is found, there would be a need to be more aggressive. Corpus callosum is not among the most eloquent areas of the brain.
If you can upload a picture of MRI or report, it would be useful.
