Two Periods In A Month, Consistent Bleeding After Unprotected Sex. What Could Be Wrong?
In January of this year I had 2 periods once at the beginning of the month and then again at the end around the 26th that lasted to the 1st of Feb. they were both pretty normal. On the 3rd of Feb. I had unprotected sex, I also had a small amount of alcohol (like a sip really not much) the following day the Feb 4th I noticed I was bleeding again, I thought it was due to the fact that I wasn t drinking water like I should but all I have been drinking is water since that day its is now Feb 9 (5 days later) and I m still bleeding, its a little heavier than spotting but not as much as a period. Could there be something wrong?
Hello. Thanks for writing to us. The irregular bleeding that you are having is likely to be due to a hormonal imbalance or a dysfunctional uterine bleeding. You can take oral contraceptives for a few cycles to regularize your periods. I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you. Regards, Dr. Rakhi Tayal , drrakhitayal@gmail.com
