Two Weeks Ago I Had My 2nd Cataract Surgery Using

Two weeks ago I had my 2nd cataract surgery using the multifocal implants. Everything went well but in my right eye I have experienced at times looking through a thin cloud. If I blink a few times it clears up.
I told my surgeon about it and he said I have a few dry spots on my cornea which is causing the cloudiness. So he has recommended taking Celluvisc or Refresh Liquigel eye drops. I forgot to ask him what caused the dry spots to appear because I don't think I had them before the surgeries and I wore contact lenses for 45 years. Any idea on what causes the dry spots?
