Two Years Ago I Had Myocarditis, Dilated Cardiomyopathy And Severe

Two years ago I had myocarditis, dilated cardiomyopathy and severe heart failure. Following a strict medication regime + lifestyle changes my cardiologist now says my heart function has completely returned to normal & is "cured". Why is it therefore necessary for me to continue taking Ramipril (10mg) and Bisoprolol (2.5 mg) indefinitely? Is there likely to be a problem if I discontinue them? Thank you.
