Ultrasound Shows Fibroid. Cause Of Uterus Contraction?
Hello Dr, I am a 38yrs mother of 1 19 yr old trying to conceive for over a year. I had a ultra sound the confirmed fibroids . I was told they are small and shouldn t cause a problem with conception . For the last 2 months I ve been feeling my uterus contract on the left side from day 20 of a normal 28 day cycle, what could be causing this as I ve never felt this before?
Hello, It could be a tubal contraction that is felt sometimes after ovulation as the fibroids have been concluded to be small enough not to bother the uterine frame work. Fibroids that are located just below the outer surface of the uterus or the subserous ones, do not pose any serious problem in conception and the ongoing pregnancy, while those located just beneath the inner lining or submucous type or those in the muscle or intramural type, can create difficulty in conception or continuation of pregnancy. Hope this helps.
