Unable To Swallow Saliva, Spitting. Diagnosed With Gastritis. How Can I Swallow Saliva Freely?

Doc, am a young man of twenty-three years and 1.8m tall. I've been diagnosed with gastritis. and the result is that I spit like a pregnant woman. I can't swallow my saliva any longer. meanwhile the abdominal pain has stopped. what can I do to swallow saliva freely. I always have pull out my tongue and stretch my neck before I swallow. I spit plenty everywhere and I use tissue if I go to church.

Hello,

Thanks for posting your query.

Difficulty in swallowing saliva may be due to-throat infection, inactive muscles of tongue.

I would advice you to visit an E N T Specialist as well as a dentist to rule out the cause of difficulty in swallowing saliva.

Also monitor movements of tongue, lips, lip seal while closing mouth, tongue thrusting or mouth breathing habit etc.

Meanwhile,avoid stress and anxiety.

Take care.
