Uncontrolled Hypertension. On Appressoline, Labetalol, Clonidine Patch. Any Rebound Effect From Many Drugs?
my daughter is in the hospital now with uncontrolled hypertension. she is on apressoline 10mg every 6 hrs and labetalol 40mg every 6 hrs so that she gets a drug every 3 hrs. she is on the clonidine patch .3mg every Wednesday and Procardia XL 90mg every 12 hrs. and labetalol by mouth 200mg every 12 hrs. That's a lot of antihypertensives and she still has a BP of 185/ 119 right now. is there such a thing as rebound effects from too many drugs?

I to my patient with such hypertension prescribes nefidepine soft gel 10 mg capsules, crushed and kept under the tongue. BD and alprazolam .5 mg at night. Thank you.
