Under Medication For Acid Reflux But Now Have Nausea And Discomfort In Stomach. What Does It Indicate?

I recently had a baby 5 weeks ago. Before i was pregnant I had acid reflux. I didn't take my medicine for it during pregnancy but has started taking it since I had my child. Now I have this weird fluttering sensation in my upper left abdominal. I haven't been eating much and it seems I have to vomit when I do. I'm concern about what it could be. What necessary steps should I take.

Hello!

Thank you for the query.

Acid reflux is a symptom which can indicate helicobacter Pylori infection of the stomach or stomach inflammation. Long lasting acid reflux could cause esophageal inflammation or even peptic ulcer.
Even if you start taking medicines for acid reflux and H.Pylori infection is present, this medicines wont be effective.
That is why it is strongly advisable for you to have gastroscopy done at first. During this test H.Pylori infection will be checked and if present, antibiotics are necessary.

Hope this will help.
Regards.
