Unprotected Oral Sex, No Signs Of Infection. Possible To Contract Prostatitis?
Can I get Prostatitis from receiving unprotected oral sex? I received an unprotected oral sex from a guy last Monday and on Saturday he told me he was diagnosed having Prostatitis. I have no any signs or symptoms so far though. It s been 8 days since we met. Is it too soon or necessary that I get checked for that? Thanks!
hi. It is very unlikely for you to have prostatitis. Prostate is located deep in the pelvis and infection to prostate usually spread from the urethra. Normally oral cavity doesn't have organisms which cause urinary tract infection and prostatitis. However I suggest you to use protection next time.
