Hi I just wanna ask u something. I had unprotected sex on 4 of march. I took the ipill on 6 of march. My last periods was on 18 feb 2013. After taking ipill I wait till 19 march. But I didn t recieve my periods. And then after I took mifegest pregnancy kit. It didn t work as well. What can I do now. Can u pls help me out
First of all, you did unprotected sex near ovulation time or close to fertile period. Taking I-pill within 24-48 hrs gives protection near about 85%.
You should undergo one home pregnancy test at the earliest & one blood test for beta HCG to confirm or exclude pregnancy. One TVS scan can be done to confirm intrauterine pregnancy.
In case of positive pregnancy test, you should consult with your gynecologist to abort medically. Taking unnecessary MTP pill can cause uncontrolled excessive vaginal bleeding and other side effects. In case of failed medical abortion, you may need to undergo surgical method of abortion (D & C).
