Unprotected Sex, Itchy Labia Majora, Swallowen, Painful. What Should I Do?
itchy labia majora (only one side) a day or two after sex (unprotected sex with husband). The labia (only one at a time) become swallowen and painful after another day.....no yeast present at any point..... but skin very dry and itchy...don t do douching but do shower and pee right after sex, every time like clock work....
Pain and swelling of the labia can occur due to inflammation related to infection or as a result of other causes. Inflammation may be secondary to the trauma of intercourse or due to chemical irritation from soaps/lotions/creams.
Infection is usually associated with discharge. It there is no discharge present then it is less likely that an infection is present.
If it is related solely to trauma during intercourse you may want to consider a lubricant. This would reduce any friction and any trauma that you might experience.
The use of a sitz bath may help reduce your present symptoms.
I hope this helps
