Urine Test Revealed Acidic And White Pus Cell/ HPF 8-10. Detected Infection. Have Mild Hepatomegaly With Fatty Infiltration. Explain

I did a urine test and the doctor said that I have infection, my reaction for the urine shows Acidic and while Pus Cell/HPF is 8-10. What does this mean ? Since, the doctor asked me to run another test for my urine and the result will be out only after 2 days? And at the same time I have mild hepatomegaly with fatty infiltration as well ?

Thanks for your query.Based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have acute UTI as indicated by presence of 8-10WBC in your urine .

Your Dr might have send your urine for culture and sensitivity to detect organisms causing this infection and antibiotics to which they are sensitive to.

Please take antibiotic as per culture report along with urine alkaliser.

Ensure to drink more water to keep your urine dilute .

Do not worry about fatty infiltration of liver. Stop taking alcohol if you take it regularly.

This should get resolved within a week.
