Urine Test Shows Reduced Pus Cells And Increased Epithelial Cells. What Does This Mean? I Am Pregnant
sir i had got urine infection before two weeks.my pus cells were 40-45 and epithelial cells were 10-15.i was on antibiotics fr two weeks.today my doctor asked me to take urine test again which shows my pus cell is reduced to 3-4 but my epithelial cells have increased to 30-35..what does this mean?is there anything to worry?am 8 months pregnant now....plz help me.../

hello,
pus cells are decreased means your urine infection is getting cured .epithelial cells are shaded mucosal cell after attack of urine infection .you must be happy that you are getting rid of urine infection .

This is most probably UTI.
Need culture test and appropriate antibiotics.
Since you are pregnant, it is wise to take half the dose for the full pregnancy till delivery.
