Used Lamisil For Nail Fungus. Does Fluconazole Or Tea Tree Oil Work?

I have had nail fungus for several years, which has been recently diagnosed by a dermatologist. I have tried several treatments over the years such as cremes, ointments, injections, radiation, Knox gelatin, oral medications. None of the treatments have worked. Lamisil was the only product that would slow the fungal process down, but once I would stop taking the Lamisil the fungus would return. My insurance will not pay for any more Lamisil. I am inquiring about other products that may work. I am at the point, that I just want normal nails. I have heard that Fluconazole or tea tree oil works. I am planning on purchasing some tomorrow. Any suggestions? Thanks Lana

Hello,
Many times it becomes very difficult to treat chronic fungal infections and in 25-30% cases,it may never get cured completely.
The best for you now is to stop taking oral lamisil but use it topically and must do it for not less than a year.
Wear cotton socks.
Avoid wearing tight shoes.
Wear sandals so that your feet remain dry.
Before sleeping dry your feet and nails and apply local lamisil.
Quit smoking
Control your diabetes,if any.
Avoid sharing your shoes,socks etc.
If your nail is painful, then best would be to get it removed.
Thanks
