Using Walking Boot After Accessory Navicular Surgery. Having Stabbing Pain And Unable To Be Off Crunches

My daughter had accessory navicular surgery in early November and in a walking boot for 12 days....lots of stabbing pain on opposite side of foot then incision. Doctor wanted her off crutches last week but she is still not able to. PT starts Monday. Wondering why she could be having do much pain on opposite side of foot???

Pain on other side is stress pain as your daughter is putting more strain on that side as compared to operative side. If that pain is only during walking no need to be worried about. But if pain is on rest than you can apply diclofenec ointment, i hope she is already on analgesics. If Physiotherapy get a little late, do not need to be worried, Also accessory navicular is more often than not affect both feet, i hope you had xrayed both feet.
