Vaginitis, Severe Hirutism. Diagnosed Menopausal. Prescribed And Taking Maxzide, Allergic To Sulfa Drugs. Serious?
HELLO, I HAVE BEEN SUFFERING FROM VAGINITIS FOR ABOUT 2 YEARS. MY GYNOCOLOGIST HAS PRESCRIBED CLOBETASOL PROPIONATE OINTMENT WHICH DOES NOT SEEM TO RESOLVING THE PROBLEM. MY DOCTOR SAYS THE VAGINITIS IS RELATED TO MENAPAUSE. I NOW RECENTLY GOT A NEW PRESCRIPTION FOR MAXZIDE WHICH I HAVE BEEN ON FOR YEARS. I AM ALLERGIC TO SULFA DRUGS. I WAS JUST LOOKING ON LINE AND HAVE DISCOVERED THAT MAXZIDE IS A SULFA DRUG. I DO NOT KNOW WHY I HAVE BEEN GIVEN THE DRUG ALL THIS TIME AND I AM NOW RELUCTANT TO TAKE IT. I'M WONDERING IF THERE IS ANY CONNECTION BETWEEN THIS DRUG AND VAGINITIS. I ALSO HAVE WHAT I CONSIDER TO BE SEVERE HIRSUTISM- I HAVE ABNORMAL FACIAL HAIR WHICH I WOULD EQUATE TO A MAN'S BEARD. I AM WONDERING IF THIS IS DUE TO MY MENAPAUSE OR COULD IT BE A SIGN OF A MORE SERIOUS PROBLEM.
Hi, It seems that your all problems are due to Menopause. due to hormonal imbalance and decreasing female hormone and so dominance of male hormone might have caused these problems like hirsutism, dry vagina, vaginitis. Consult gynaec and get examined. Blood hormonal tests might be helpful to go for hormonal therapy. Ok and take care.
