Could Irritation After Having Sex Be The Symptoms Of Vaginitis?
I have been diagnosed with vaginitis 3 weeks ago and I am still irritated after sex.. My husband is also having a stinging on him after sex. I also take adderall.. It seems the symptoms for worse after I began taking this. Could I still have vaginitis?
It seems that either your initial infection did not get cleared completely or you acquired a new one.
I suggest you get a cervical and vaginal swab tested for infection. If there is persistent infection vaginal tablets and oral drugs like anti fungal, antibacterial and anti parasite tablets help. Your doctor will help you with this depending upon the result of the test. Also I suggest that you and your husband both take treatment at the same time as it may be possible that he may be having a mild infection and reinfecting you repeatedly. It is advisable to preferably avoid sex or use condoms while the infection clears as friction leads to further irritation and delays healing.
Hope I was able to help you. I would be happy to answer any further queries. Have a nice day. Dr. Madhuri Bagde Consultant Obstetrician and Gynecologist
