Valtrex And Azithromax Can Be Taken Be Taken Together For Cold Sore?
Hi, I got cut by a branch just above my top lip. Either due to tge tiny small trama from tge cut or due to putting makeup (womens) coverup on it to hide the cut; it became iritated and I got a coldsore. I usually only get a coldsore about every two years. My question is......I am taking Valtrex and a course of Azithromax anti-biotics at the same time. I chose to do this treatment on my own. Is it wrong to take both at the same time? will the antibiotics stop the valtrex from doing its job?

No, it is not wrong to take both the mentioned drugs at the same time, and the antibiotics wouldn't hamper the functions of valtrex. However, there are certain combination of drugs that just do not go well with each other, so be very careful to combine them. Also, I would like to suggest you to not start an anti viral & antibiotic treatment on your own. You could be harming your body unnecessarily.
