Variable Result Of Pregnancy Strip Test. Which Is Correct?

sir i had used a pregnancy test strip yesterday.according to the instructions it should give the result after 3 minutes ,it was negative by that time.but after some time when i saw it again it resulted positive.please let me know that the earlier result was correct or i should consider the later one.

Hi Gouri, Thanks for using HCM.
Pregnancy test strip may some time false positive also. Since it has shown positive after some time, it is positive but get one more UPT done with blood HCG level for diagnosis. Start folic acid tablets now. If you have missed period and UPT positive consult your obstretican for USG to confirm and management.

Repeat UPT test again after 3 or 4 days, Blood HCG test is better than urine test.
Use morning urine sample for test, as it will be concentrated one.
