Varied Periods After Termination, Dark Brown Blood. Trying To Conceive Again. Normal?
I had a termination in April at 14 weeks due to my baby having fatal fetal abnormality. Since then my periods have varied from 23 days to 31 days. Prior to this I would always had a 28 day cycle. Also the bleeding is dark brown with very little bright red. Is this normal. I trying to conceive again and I am concerned there is an issue.
Hello thanks for your query. Post a delivery / termination , it is normal to experience menstrual disturbances for some months. Before trying to conceive again, given your past loss, it is better to have a gynecological opinion. Sometimes, conditions like infection, endometrial hyperplasia, polycystic ovaries, damage to the uterus due to termination could cause scanty bleed. proper pre conceptional counselling, screening, vaccinations, folic acid supplements - all are a must before you plan your next pregnancy. Take care.
