Very Scanty Bleeding With Thick Clots During Periods, Painful Cramps And Spasms In Lower Abdomen. History Of Normal Periods With Regular Flow. On Antibiotics For Throat Infection. Advice

hello doctor I am 23 year old female, I have regular periods , but recently , during my last periods, the flow was scanty, and this time during my periods i am having painful lower abdominal cramps, terrible spasms and menstrual flow is not normal, i am hardly bleeding, only when i am pushing and stressing then only i am bleeding and its coming in thick clots. Its my second day, but no relief from pain and scanty bleeding. Normally I have pain only on my first day and my flow is moderate.II want to ask what is the reason for sudden increase in pain and scanty clotty menses? I am also undergoing antibiotics for my throat infection. please help

SCANTY PERIODS USUALLY OCCURS WITH A CONDITION CALLED POLYCYSTIC OVARIES WHICH CAN BE TREATED WITH DRUGS.AS THIS IS THE FIRST CYCLE THAT YOU ENCOUNTER THIS PROBLEM, YOU WAIT FOR THE SUCCESSIVE CYCLES. IF THE SYMPTOMS ARE PERSISTENT, IT IS ADVISABLE TO DO AN ULTASOUND PELVIS. IF YOU HAVE RECENTLY PUT ON WEIGHT, WEIGHT REDUCTION WILL DEFINITELY HELP YOU A GREAT WAY IN CORRECTING THE MENSTRUAL IRREGULARITIES.
