Very Swollen Fingers And Small Bumps Between Fingers. Why Do I Feel A Lot Of Pressure?
I woke up today with very swollen fingers and small bumps between my fingers and surrounding my cuticles. These are difficult to see unless looking closely. They are not red but they are itchy and some are feel pressured when I bend my fingers. I am a 39 year old woman and in relatively good health, however I am taking several medications .
Hi Hawkinswa,
Thanks for writing in to Healthcare Magic!
Mostly such digital swelling occurs due to insect bites when you can see a dotty eruption but oozy local bite marks would also be apparent.
Another possibility is a hypersensitivity reaction to any newly added/changed drugs in which case you would have some lesions elsewhere as well and bite lesions would be obviously absent.
Still another possibility is a contact dermatitis due to contact with some new detergent, cream or any thing that has come in contact with hands recently.
Please try to target the offending agent in the light of this advise and take steps accordingly.
If you have any further query please let me know I would try to answer it for you.
Wish you a great health!
