Vision Going Black, Momentarily After Standing. Actual Reason For Dizziness?

I know that it is actually pretty common for a persons vision to go black momentarily after standing up too quickly but I am cautious to know what causes this. I have heard it is from low blood pressure or just from the blood in your head rushing down. What is the actual reason of the dizziness when you go from sitting/laying down to standing position.
