Vomiting After Taking Metformin. Taking Blood Thinners And Water Pills
hi my doctor two months ago put me on metformin month later i was still vomiting so we stopped the medication. now still a month later im still vomiting and today it escalated to twice so far still fighting to keep my dinner down but im afraid it will be gone on me in the morning. i am on blood thinners and water pills.
Hello, Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum. No doubt metformin itself causes nausea & vomiting ( but in mild form). In your case, if necessary please take metformin , after the consultation of you treating physician. Blood thinners develops nausea, vomiting ,stomach discomfort , so think about that also . As far as concerned no doubt vomiting is there , but it may be due to hyper acidity , gastritis, water pills ( excess) . Consult another physician and get his opinion after endoscopy to rule out any disease in stomach. Good luck. Dr. HET
