Waking Up Almost Every Night, Diarrhea, Burping Eggs, Vomiting. What Is Going On?
My children have been waking up almost every night throwing up. By morning they act as if nothing happened. They eat, run, and play as they normally do. My five year old also has had diahrrea.now last night I woke up burping eggs and vomiting . Just trying to figure out what its going on and do we need to go see our doctor?
Hi,
Thanks for posting your query.
Your child may have acute gastroenteritis acquired after eating outsource restaurants.
You should consult with pediatrician and should avoid milk and other milk products.
You should first try to maintain hydration by ORS liquid as most of the diarrheal cases in children are viral in origin. If his/ her condition won't improve then you should take complete antibiotic course.
Take care,
Dr. Mayank Bhargava
