Waking Up With Numb Hands, Allowing Blood Flow Get Pins, Needles And Goes Away. Suggestions?
Hi most nigyhts lately I have been waking up with a severly numb arm, I have been putting it down to sleeping in a funny position and once I hang it over the edge of the bed and allow the blood to flow again I get pins and needles and it goes away. However it has been happening regularly over a two week period? any suggestions
Such symptom appears due to long term arm compression what causes nerveischemia and temporal paralysis. Most likely it is caused by your sleeping position. Also lower than heart level position of your arm can disturb blood circulation and give such symptoms.
Needles and pins are nothing unnatural and are very common with such ischemia.
The best way to prevent it is to change your sleeping position so the arms will be freely disposed so the blood flow wont be impeded.
Hope this will help.
Regards.
