Wants To Avoid Pregnancy. Taking Althea Pills. Safe To Have Unprotected Sex After 7 Pills?
hi doctor! is it really necessary that i should start taking the althea pills on the first day of my period, or is it okay to take it any time as long as i am sure that i am not pregnant, as stated in the drug literature. i am using althea to avoid pregnancy. thank you. also is it safe if i have unprotected sex after the 7th day of taking the pill?

Hi,
Althea is a 21 days birth control pills.
You should start it from first day of your period up to 21 days.take it regularly.Then stop it for 7 days you will get your next bleed around 28 th day & then start a new pack from first day of period.
This pills contains hormones so your cycle mimics like natural cycle.
You can go for unprotected sex in any day of cycle.
