Hi,I am Dr. Carol Rogala (Emergency Medicine). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a question about the warning signs for a heart attack . I m a 19 year old male who is slightly obese. I ve been feeling very mild pain in my chest for a couple days now, but nothing that would seem to indicate anything out of the ordinary. About 20 minutes ago, i had a totally random episode just walking across a room where my heart started racing and i felt a rush of blood in my limbs and head . This episode only lasted about 10-20 seconds and hasn t re-occurred so far, although i still do feel slightly flushed. This has never happened to me before I want to know if i should be concerned and seek immediate help.
Hi!!
Welcome to healthcaremagic community forum..
Has any one suffered from heart attacks in your family?
The incidence of heart attacks in young have increased due to changing lifestyle. Obesity is one of the factors.
Its difficult to predict what could have triggered your symptoms the other day, without a cardiac evaluation and EKG.
My suggestion is to modify your lifestyle, weight reduction measure and get a cardiac evaluation.
Hope I have answered your query.
Thanks
