Was Adenoid Removal Correct For Fluid Collecting, Hearing Problem And Ear Pain?
My son (now 16yo) has inner ear problems since 7 or so years - fluid collecting. Physician for several years put a titanium tube into both his ears to let fluid drain away. One possible reason was narrow or stuck Eustachian tube. Finally, the otolarryngology specialist decided to remove his adenoids (at his age 15!!). And he does not seem to care about the benefit of this procedure to the root cause. The fluid further collects, he has continuous hearing problems, and pain in his ears. Was the adenoid removal a good move or was it just to 'do anything' procedure?
