my 6 year old has ben told he has fluid behind his ear drums and need tubes, also recommended removal of tonsils and adenoids. He constantly sound like he has lots of mucus on his nose especially at night but when he blows his nose nothing comes out. Do you thinks removing tonsils and adenoids is the solution
His situation could be related to an allergic reaction. If he has hypertrophic adenoids, and difficulty breathing because of them, removing them would be the best treatment option. Fluid in the inner ear, could be related to a blocked drainage, which is related to an allergic reaction or hypertrophic adenoids or nasal mucosa.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
