My name is Debra, age 56 years old, Was diagnosed with Hyperthyroidism back in the early 80's, Now recently for the last 2 years my T3 or T4 has gone from a 1.8 to now a .63.. I am sluggish, tired, gaining weight, having trouble sleeping for leg cramps, no energy, hair loss and etc... My doctor is not going to give me synthyroid, because he says its still in the normal range.. and won't do anything until it goes done to .34... I feel so frustrated.. I want to know if there is a over the counter vitamins or supplements I can take to help my thyroid and help me get my good feeling back and not feel so sluggish, until my thyroid gets worse.. OR DO I NEED TO SEE A ENDROCINE DOCTOR instead of a regular doctor .. Thank you so much.. Really feel down and depressed..
