Was Diagnosed With Swimmers Ear. Prescribed Augmentin, Ciprodex. Infection?

My daughter was diagnosed with swimmers ear and prescribed augmentin and ear drops. She didn t respond well and had to have a shot of rocephin and was given stronger ear drops - ciprodex . She complains and screams that the drops hurt. When I look in her ear I can see white goop in the canal. It looks like infection. The doctor actually asked if she had stuck a cotton ball in her ear.

Hi. This is a classical fungal infection due to swimming ear. Needs antibiotics and anti-inflammatory medicines . Oral or topical antifungal drops are needed after a few dyas ( not now as they will cause burning, which she already have). Needs manual cleaning if necessary. No swimming for the time-being.
