hello my 34 month old was ran over by a Dog and hit her head hard on the concreate, she cryed for 10 minutes. we went home and she fell asleep for 30 minutes then she started vomiting a half hour latter. there is a slight bump on her head but other then that she seam to be ok. now she just slide in the kitchen and smacked her mouth on the cabnet. her lip is bleeding. should i take her to the hospital.
hi , she seems to have signs of raised intra cranial tension, difficulty in equilibrium, hence she must be taken to hospital and investigated with ct scan of the brain ,routine blood investigations,to rule out subarachnod haemorrage, extradural haemorrhage, intacranialoedema, later seen by a qualified neurologist and a neuro surgeon, but as the child is concious there may not be much worry.anti oedema measures, neuroprotective agents ,neurofriendly steroids, anti inflamatorydrugs with anti siezuresmay help in recovey.wish you speedy recovery.
