Was Taking Oral Contraceptives. Born With Double Uterus. Side Effect?
Hi, I am coming off of oral contraceptives. I have read that post effects of Drospirenone/ ethinyl estriadol use increases SHBG and lowers testoterone levels. I have been on them since I was 14years old to regulate my cycle (I am a healthy, active 25 year old female now) since I was born with a double uterus. I lift weights and exercise for natural competitions and was wondering if this will interfere with recovery/muscle growth or any other concerns in general? I am not on any stimulants or non-natural suppliments currently. Thank you!
Usually while using the contraceptive pills the natural hormones will be suppressed. And after stopping them it will take some time for regularization of the hormones. Generally within shorter period the hormonal levels become normal, so no need to worry. Regular exercise usually won't affect the menstrual cycle and usually it will help in maintaining the ideal weight and health. So you can stop the pills as you planned, after that if you get problem consult your doctor once.
