I have funny sensations and a bad taste in my mouth after eating . I have had an ENT specialist look down throat and he says there is inflammation in my throat and around my voice box. I have had the xrays where you drink barium and xray for acid reflux . The results were negative. What else could be causing the front of my neck and throat to constantly be sore?
It is mostly due to viral infection like EB virus, adenovirus but some time could be bacterial or parasitic also.
You may need routine blood investigations with sputum tests if you had cough and chest x- ray you have alredy done which has ruled our acid reflux.
You may require higher antibiotics (quinolones or macrolides) to prevent super infection (if it is viral infection) with antiinflammatory and other supportive treatment like bronchodilators if there is any breathing problem.
So,It would be advisable to do regular follow-up to ENT specialist and start treatment after that.
