Water Retention In Face, Does Lasix Remove Fluids From Face?

I m a 16 year old boy and I m concerned with some water retention in my face.With a google search I found out that a pill named Lasix is good for water retention and that it removes fluids.But will it remove fluid from my face? because I ve heard Body fluid can be removed via diuretics but what about facial fluid? Also How do you differenciate between fat and water retention? Please answer

Has a general physician diagnosed facial puffiness. Water retention over the face is seen in renal causes. Firstly get a Complete urine examination done with serum creatinine. Then if there is any discrepancy with the normal values consult a nephrologist. Taking a diuretic like lasix unsupervised and undiagnosed can lead to hypokalemia (low potassium levels).
In renal causes of edema i.e puffiness one would notice early morning puffiness around the eyes. While in cases of nephrotic syndrome there would be generalised edema, in malnutrition there would be generalised edema, in cardiovascular causes the edema would be around ankles.
