Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
We have a 24 year old daughter who has become progressively harder and harder to live with. She had been seen by a pediatric psychiatrist starting at about age 7 until about 3 years ago. The diagnoses progressed over time through bi-polar disorder and asperger's syndrome. After she turned 18 she has refused to take medication. For a period of time she seemed to be improving but that has taken a drastic turn for the bad. She now exhibits OCD tendencies and has frequent anxiety attacks. She is destroying our lives and we need assistance to get her on Social Security Disability and out of our home. We have tried everything that we can but she is now uncooperative with anyone who does not totally agree with her self-diagnoses. It has reached a point where she is trying to dominate our home and I refuse to allow her to destroy our lives. How can I get help?
