Weird Memory, MRI Showed Hypertension Of T1 And T2. Worrisome?
I cant afford to get anymore testing done for this, i just dont have the money with 3 mouths to feed. I am paying out of pocket for a MRI & it came back with hypertension of T1, & T2. My memory has been kinda weird for the last 8 months, talking to someone & all of a sudden forgot what I was saying, and other things. Should this concern me?? Thank you so much M00n7child@ WWW.WWWW.WW (the 0 s are zeros in my email address)

Internal Medicine Specialist, Dr. Sudhir's Response
Hello,
I guess you mean hyperintensities on T1 and T2 weighted images. This should surely be cause of concern since you are having dementia that is loss of memory.Ideally you should see a neurologist for this.Since you have already paid for MRI it would not be wise to leave this in between.Dementia is generally age related, but if it is inappropriate for age then doctor would pin point cause of this and suggest treatment.I guess one or two consultation would be enough. Its very likely that doctor won't ask for more tests.
Regards.
