Welcome to 'Ask a Doctor'. Please type your question here...My husband and I are getting ready to do a remodel of the first floor of our home. Our daughter and 10 year old immuno-suppressed grandson live on the 2nd floor of our home. Our grandson has a genetic disease And the immunologist is still conducting tests to determine the exact diagnosis. He is doing much better the last six months than when he first started experiencing symptoms a year ago ( 2 bouts of pneumonia and gastro problems). My question is- is it safe to stay in the house for the remodel or should we consider a temporary residence during the reno? I do not want to compromise his well being or the gains we have made- he receives in home IV/IG every other week I would appreciate your recommendations. Thank you, Melissa Brown
