I Am getting my first tattoo today. The tattoo artist told me not to take any blood thinner medications. What are blood thinner medications? I take a lot of medicines since I had a stroke about 8 years ago. The list of medications I take are as follows... -invokana -metformin - isosorbide mononitrate - atorvastatin - lisinopril I also take naproxin. Please let me know soon. Thank you.
Hi, I have gone through your question. I am a practicing anaesthesiologist and pain consultant. I can understand your concern. But as per your mention, none of them is blood thinner. So don't worry. Invokana and metformin are oral antidiabetic medications. Atorvastatin is cholesterol lowering agent. Naproxen is Non steroidal anti inflammatory drug. Lisinopril and isosorbibe mononitrate are antihypertensive.
