Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Antibiotic Is Used To Treat Finger Infection?
I have two infections; each on one finger of both hands. It appears to be a small bump & it fills with a clear liquid with a molasses type consistency. Originally, they both hurt, but now they just fill with the liquid. Sometimes they go away on their own & sometimes I drain them.
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
-Apply warm compresses or soak the finger in warm, soapy water for 10 to 20 minutes, at least twice a day. -Apply antibiotic cream like prescribed amoxicillin cream -Keep the infected area covered with a sterile bandage.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
